More Fun Backgrounds!

Jamie at Art-e-ology has some wonderful Images. I took this really fun egg print. I wanted it to look like someone had just thrown it on a table and put stuff ontop of it. I love looking at the stuff Jamie has. So go check out some of the fun stuff she has. I was thinking that these eggs would look amazing as a background. I also think they would look good printed off and just matted and framed.

Look What I Did!!

I have been messing around with my new Photoshop Pro. I am just trying to figure out how to use things. I am having so much fun with it. So I wanted to show you some of what I have been up to. This is a copyright free nature photo. I altered it by adding the water to it. Then I aged it, then distressed it. All with 2 different Photo altering programs.

Baby Fairy Tag!

I found this cute little baby! Then I had the sweetest scrapbook paper. I used the printed wings that were on the paper. Then I used glitter letters and pearls and ribbon. I thought that the word"Cute" said it all.

Thanks for stopping by! Come back and visit again real soon.

Twinchie Family Circle!

I did this Twinchie with this cute pic of a bunch of kids. I thought they were so cute. I really can't remember where I got the image. If it is yours let me know. That way I can tell everyone where I got it. I used a cap dipped lightly in paint to make bigger circles. then I used glitter glue to make dots and the ring around the picture.

Halloween ATC!

I have been doing so many Halloween things to put up around the house. This is the first ATC out of 2 that I am doing. The other I will post as soon as it is dry. I am hoping to finish up more of the Halloween things that I am doing so I can post them soon.

Dressmaker's Form Template!

I used this template from Stampington's Tempting Templates. I used Crepe paper and gathered it and stitched it down the middle of the form. I then used pearl Dark Pink Paint. I then spread it down the center it stiffened up the paper. I also cut it close to the stitching. It looks like material and held its shape. I used glitter glue to make little looking buttons. I am thinking of  making 2 more in Pink and mounting them in a Shadowbox.
Thank You for stopping by. I hope you came back soon for a visit.

Pink Button Twinchie!

I made this Twinchie for a challenge but I did it bit too late to make sure I posted it. That is ok. I will just do the next challenge in time and post it. I used these cute tiny buttons. I love the saying. I have been doing so much with Halloween colors, that I had to sneak in a bit of Pink in the mix. The strip of paper running down the side has subtle crowns running thru it. The buttons made the scan not appear as well as it looks in person.

My First Postcard!

I made my first Postcard. I am so excited. I found the image of the girl and decided to tint her myself. Then I found the Image of music and this Quote from Shakespeare, and It all just came together. I liked the size of the Postcard. It presented it's own challenge of filling it up but not putting too much on it to take away from any one thing.

House Inchie

Nancy from Small world of Inchies and Twinchies hosts a challenge. This week is Home Sweet Home. Nancy was wanting us to show what coming home means after vacation. Well Home always means to me time with my Family. So I wanted that to come across in the Inchie. I didn't take an Inchie and add a roof to it. I cut it out of the Inchie so it did make it smaller. I do like how it turned out.
This is the inside of the Inchie! I love this picture of this family. I got it for Art-e-ology. I love this blog there are so many fun Images on this site.
Stop by and visit Nancy at her blog. Stop by and visit Art-e-ology and take a look around at all the fun stuff there.

Robin Hood And The Dark Side Of The Moon!

When I saw this little guy posed with a cross-bow. I knew he had to be Robin Hood. I used paint on the paper to give him a bit of grubbiness. I thought it would be cool to put him on the Moon. I have been looking for the right picture to put on the Moon. He was definitely the right one.
I also added water to the picture, to give it a kind of surreal look to it.
Well I know he is different from the Fairies and Angels that I have done, but I was wanting to do something a bit different.

I used this guy from some free images off of this fabulous blog I came across. It is called Viola. I thought that he was a cutie with attitude. I love attitude. I hope that the baby is a Boy. :) Well I made his wings out of an old hymnal page. I just thought he looks just relaxed cradled on the edge of the mountain!
I loved the blue tones of this picture, so i used blue in the image of the Angel to highlight him. Thank You for stopping by! Go over and visit Viola and see what wonderful creations she has!

Some New Inchies!

I have been so busy and life and school and kids even crazier! I have done a few more Inchies. I wanted to post them.

This first one I call What To Wear. I was inspired by These T-Shirt stickers that I had.
I found this great Gingham scrapbook paper. I have been very obsessed by it! So I used paint and painted on a star. used glitter glue to highlight the star. I used swirled stamps on the background and a cute phrase. I am an American Girl. I felt with Memorial Day just happening and the 4th of July coming up in a month, a bit Patriotic

Inchies And Twinchies!

I am not sure how exactly how I came upon Nancy's Blog. I usually am out trying to find new blogs to look at all the time. I have been fascinated by the concept of Inchies and Twinches. Now I am finding the Inchie a little intimidating. I am still working on my first one. Well My First Twinchie seemed a bit easier. Well I hope you like it! So pop on over to Nancy's blog it is so cool.

{Click the Pic to see Nancy's blog}
Here is my very First Twinchie! Now A Twinchie is a 2 inch square. I fell in love with this girls pout. I found it on one of the free image sites. I am a sucker for a cute Pout! I thought the word believe fit. The word is actual a piece of Metal. I wanted a bit of subtle color and a bit of brightness to draw you to her face. I used the little flower I made with a brad to do that.

I Hope You Enjoy! Come Back Soon!

I found this Awesome picture of these Lily pads. I used a Vintage Butterfly Image, and one of the Vintage pictures I purchased from the Antique Mall. I really Like the colors in this. I just really think of the Fairies being near water and all the creatures of the night.
I hope You feel transported to a realm that the Fairies Frequent!

Guardian Angel!

I have been wanting to try an Angel. I knew I need to not only find the right vintage picture, but the right Picture in nature. When I saw this little guy(at lest I think it is a boy) I knew it would make the perfect Angel.I went on the hunt for pictures of clouds and water. Then I happened upon this beautiful picture of the bow of a ship. I knew instantly it was perfect. It seems as if the Heavens have opened right up. I places him in a way that I feel he is Guarding the way of the ship.
I was inspired to make this with the inspiration of a Guardian Angel, because we all need one, but I have a good friend in Afghanistan. So I am dedicating this Picture to all the Men and Women off fighting that A Guardian Angel will Guard their Way!

Pink Fairy At The Waterfall!

I had so much fun on Friday! It is the Kids last day of Spring Break. The only way that you know a kid wants to spend that is being dragged to multiple Antique Stores, by your Mom, to find old Pictures! Well they were so thrilled. I found this little girl at the last store I went to. I knew She was Perfect!
This Time I wanted my Fairy to be a tad different.I bought Clear Stamps of different kinds of wings. I took subtle patterned Pink Scrapbooking paper and stamped the paper. I Colored Copy the picture again and cut around the stamped wings and the color copy of the girl. I used glitter and markers and ink to highlighter her edges. Well I thought she would look good with a waterfall. So I put her kind of appearing to sit/hover over the Fall.

Thank You for stopping by! I hope you enjoyed your Visit. Come Back Really Soon and Have a Great Day!

My Hero!

This is a picture of my Son, when he was about 3 years of age! He was Superman for Halloween. I have always thought of him as My Little Hero! I made his cape from a page of a book then used an ink pad to color it. This is a cool picture of a glacier. I found this awesome site for copyright free nature scenes! Thank You for stopping by, and seeing my Hero!
Thank You Druce for giving me permission to use you as a project.

Fairy At The Waters Edge

I am so excited this is my first real Post on my new Blog! This picture of this little girl I found 3 years ago at my favorite antique mall where I use to live in Virginia. I was captivated by her Attitude. I had to have her! This is a color copy of the picture of her then I cut her out. The wings are from a butterfly that was on scrapbooking paper. I used color pencils and glitter glue and then glued on the wings. I then scanned in my creation, and overlayed it onto this beautiful picture of a forest path that I had applied a waters edge to. Then I saved it and now I am sharing it with you! I Love the juxtaposition of the creation against the vibrant Natural Picture!
I had so much fun creating this and am looking forward to creating more things!
Thank You for stopping by The Rusty Tiara.
